JULI VON LOU

The Grace, N5 1RA , [Venue Details]

Juli von Lou is an artist, songwriter, and producer.

Now based in Bergen, the Swedish-born artist grew up in rural Sweden, basically the Swedish version of the Midwest, so it was only natural that she started out playing folk violin, wearing boots, and singing in a local bluegrass band very young.

Tuesday,
3 Feb 2026
Doors open @7.00pm

With the countryside running about fifteen years behind, Juli had a very 80s–90s childhood for a 2000s kid, not much access to computers or the internet, but plenty of time with a vinyl player and an MP3 that her dad claimed could only play Bowie and his favourite songs from the 1960sBut when the doors to the internet finally opened, they opened wide, and Juli’s sound became a mystical concoction of all of it. Let’s be real: it’s indie pop (sorry, Juli’s dad), but with a folk base, old-time romantic lyrics, and a 60s cinematic aura. Add to that a deep and slightly mysterious longing for the Midwest (where she’s yet to set foot?), and that’s pretty much it.

That’s Juli von Lou.
